Flashback : Claire, les cheveux bruns, se réveille après avoir été inconsciente pendant un long moment. Nous voyons qu’elle vient d'échapper à un violent accident de voiture. Elle se lève et hurle vers sa mère, allongée, comme morte...
Sur l’île, Claire se réveille. Nous comprenons qu’elle vient de rêver à son passé. Charlie est là pour l'acceuillir au levé de cette journée. Le jeune homme se montre très agréable et bienveillant. Il emmène Claire vers la plage où il lui a concocté un petit déjeuner romantique. Parallèlement, en pleine jungle, Kate, Sayid, Locke et Rousseau montent en pression et continuent leur chemin vers le camp des "autres", accompagnés de leur prisonnier Mikhail. Locke et Sayid entrent d’ailleurs en conflit quant à leur but mais la situation s’apaise peu à peu.
Sur la plage, alors que les deux tourtereaux prennent du bon temps, Desmond vient chercher Charlie lui ordonnant de venir chasser le sanglier en sa compagnie. Charlie se met en route après un moment d'hésitation ! Claire, qui trouve cela assez suspect, reste en retrait et demande des explications à Desmond qui ne lâche rien. Soudain, au loin dans le ciel, Claire voit des oiseaux migrateurs et se rue au campement pour aller chercher de laide car persuadée d’enfin savoir comment quitter l’île.
Alors qu’elle se prépare avec Jin et Sun pour capturer un oiseau et lui accrocher un message à la patte, Claire réclame une dernière fois l’aide de Charlie qui se refuse à porter secours à la jeune femme et qui reste très pensif.
Flashback : Claire est à l’hôpital en train de se faire recoudre. Interrogée par un policier à Sidney, Claire essaie tant bien que mal de se souvenir de son accident qui a plongé sa mère dans un coma profond. La jeune femme n’arrive pas à se souvenir et tente de se reposer.
Dans la jungle, le petit groupe d’aventuriers est en train de se rafraîchir avant de repartir à la recherche de Jack. Kate en profite pour demander à Rousseau pourquoi elle ne lui demande rien à propos de sa fille Alex ce à quoi Rousseau répond qu’elle préfère ne pas savoir et garder de l’espoir. Rousseau saisit d’ailleurs la balle au bond et fait un parallèle avec son histoire avec Jack.
Alors que le groupe continue sa route, Kate demande à Michail des explications car las de le voir rester stoïque. C’est alors que Michail explique au petit groupe qu’ils ne pourront pas revenir en arrière ni s’enfuir car depuis le choc électromagnétique, plus rien n’est techniquement possible niveau émission.
Michail rajoute qu’ils ne pourraient pas comprendre car peu évolués et concernés puisqu’ils n’étaient pas sur la liste. Ni Kate, ni Sayid, ni Rousseau sauf Locke. Michail commence à expliquer que Locke serait concerné et fait comprendre qu’il sait beaucoup de choses sur la passé de notre ami notamment le fait qu’il était paraplégique. Il explique aussi que l’homme qui est derrière tout cela n’est pas Ben mais quelqu’un d’autre ultrapuissant…
Alors qu’il l’annonce, il est coupé en plein élan par Rousseau qui les invite à avancer.
Flashback : Claire est toujours à l’hôpital et revient sur son enfance puisqu’interrogée par la police.
Sur la plage, c’est l’affolement. Des coups de feu retentissent lors que Jin, Sun et Claire allaient capturer des oiseaux qui du coup s’envolent. Desmond sort alors de la jungle et explique qu’il a raté un sanglier, chose que Claire a du mal à croire.
Dans la jungle c’est la pression. Le petit groupe arrive dans un champ entouré d’étranges pilonnes. Alors que chacun se demande ce que cela peut être, Locke saisit Michail et le pousse en avant. Michail se retrouve alors pris au piège et meurt d’une hémorragie cérébrale puisqu’il s’agissait en réalité d’une barrière sonique imparable.
Alors que Kate hurle sur Locke puisque son geste reste incompris, le groupe se décide à passer par dessus le pilonne. Ils abattent un arbre puis s’en servent comme passerelle. Chacun réussit à franchir le barrage et continuent leur route.
Sur la plage, Charlie tente de feinter Claire qui lui réclame des comptes…
Flashback : Claire va rendre visite à sa mère sous assistance respiratoire puisque le médecin vient de lui annoncer qu’un médecin américain est venu en précipitation à son chevet. Et là stupeur puisqu’il s’agit de Christian Shepard, le père de Jack ! Shepard, qui se retrouve entre Claire et sa tante avoue qu’il est son père. Grosse surprise et confirmation puisque oui, Claire est bel et bien la demi-sœur de Jack ! Claire et Christian prennent alors un verre à la cafétéria de l’hôpital.
Claire demande des explications sur l’absence de son père durant tant d’années, chose à laquelle, Shepard explique qu’il a été au courant de l’existence de sa fille alors qu’il était aux Etats-Unis et que sa mère refusait qu’il voit Claire.
Alors que Shepard tente de lui divulguer son vrai nom et son identité, Claire préfère partir et quitter les lieux…
Sur l’île, Claire suit Desmond qui se dirige vers les falaises. Il récupère un des oiseaux qui était isolé. Claire qui le surprend, lui demande enfin des explications. Desmond affirme alors à Claire la tragique destinée écrite de Charlie ainsi que son mystérieux don. Claire s’empresse alors d’aller voir son ami et se confie.
Flashback : Claire est au chevet de sa mère mourante et s’excuse de ne jamais s’être entendue avec elle et de lui avoir crié dessus durant le trajet en voiture qui a précédé le terrible accident.
Enfin, sur l’île, Charlie lit à haute voix un texte qu’a écrit Claire sur un papier qu’ils attachent à la patte de l’oiseau trouvé par Desmond. Un texte très joli qui annonce qu’ils sont les rescapés du vol 815, en vie et qu’ils attendent de l’aide. Nous voyons chaque personnage qui vaque à ses occupations…
En toute fin d’épisode, Kate, Sayid, Locke et Rousseau arrivent enfin au campement des "autres" et là stupeur ! Ils découvrent Jack en train de jouer au football américain avec Tom (le faux mystérieux barbu). Jack semble heureux, fou de joie et épanoui. Kate et ses compagnons restent médusés d’incompréhension !
Avis : Un très bon épisode qui repart de plus belle. La tension monte crescendo, nous apprenons que Claire est bien la demi-sœur de Jack ce qui resserre les liens étrangers de la série et qui nous fait bien dire que leur présence dans l’avion n’est vraiment pas un hasard. Et si le père de Jack était derrière tout cela et que cette situation était faite pour rapprocher les deux frères et sœurs ? L’arrivée au camp des "autres" est très excitante, le secret de Desmond n’est plus trop un secret et le fait de voir Jack s’amuser comme un dingue créer une foule de questions : lavage de cerveau ? tactique de Jack ?
La suite s’annonce absolument géniale surtout que la semaine prochaine il s’agira de l’épisode 13,

Flashback: Claire, the brown hair, awakes after having been unconscious during a long moment. We see that it has just escaped a violent one car accident. It rises and howls towards her mother, lengthened, like dead… On the island, Claire awakes. We understand that it has just dreamed with its past. Charlie is there to acceuillir it with the survey of this day. The young man shows himself very pleasant and benevolent. He takes along Claire towards the beach where he concocté a romantic breakfast to him. In parallel, in full jungle, Kate, Sayid, Locke and Rousseau go up in pressure and carry on their way towards the camp of the “others”, accompanied by their Mikhail prisoner. Locke and Sayid enter besides in conflict as for their goal but the situation calms down little by little. On the beach, whereas the two tourtereaux ones take good time, Desmond comes to seek Charlie ordering to him to come to drive out wild boar in his company. Charlie gets under way after a moment of hesitation! Claire, who finds that rather suspect, remains in withdrawal and request of the explanations to Desmond who does not release anything. Suddenly, with far in the sky, Claire sees migratory birds and street with the camping to go to seek ugly bus persuaded of finally knowing how to leave the island. Whereas it prepares with Jin and Sun to capture a bird and to hang a message with the leg to him, Claire claims last once the assistance of Charlie who refuses to carry help to the young woman and who remains very pensive. Flashback: Claire is at the hospital being made recoudre. Questioned by a police officer with Sidney, Claire after a fashion tries to remember her accident which plunged his/her mother in a major coma. The young woman is not able to remember and tries to rest. In the jungle, the small group of adventurers is refreshing itself before setting out again in the search of Jack. Kate benefits from it to ask Rousseau why it does not ask him anything in connection with her Alex daughter it what Rousseau answers that it prefers not to know and to keep hope. Rousseau seizes the ball with the jump besides and makes a parallel with its history with Jack. Whereas the group carries on its road, Kate asks for Michail tired bus explanations to see it remaining stoical. At this point in time Michail explains to the small group that they will be able to retrogress nor to flee bus since the electromagnetic shock, plus nothing is not technically possible level emission. Michail adds that they could not include/understand bus not very advanced and concerned since they were not on the list. Neither Kate, neither Sayid, nor Rousseau except Locke. Michail starts to explain why Locke would be concerned and makes understand that it knows many things about the past of our friend in particular the fact that it was paraplegic. It also explains why the man who is behind all that is not Ben but someone else ultrapuissant… Whereas it announces it, it is cut in full dash by Rousseau which invites them to advance. Flashback: Claire is always at the hospital and reconsiders her childhood since questioned by the police force. On the beach, it is the panic. Shots resound at the time Jin, Sun and Claire were going to capture birds which blow fly away. Desmond leaves the jungle then and explains that it missed a wild boar, thing that Claire has evil to believe. In the jungle it is the pressure. The small group arrives in a field surrounded by strange ram. Whereas each one wonders what that can be, Locke seizes Michail and pushes ahead it. Michail is found then taken with the trap and dies of a cerebral haemorrhage since it was actually about a sound barrier imparable. Whereas Kate howls on Locke since its gesture remains misunderstood, the group decides to pass over rams. They cut down a tree then make use of it like footbridge. Each one succeeds in crossing the stopping and carry on their road. On the beach, Charlie tries feinter Claire which claims accounts to him… Flashback: Claire will return visit to her mother under respiratory assistance since the doctor has just announced to him that an American doctor came in precipitation to his bedside. And there stupor since it is about Christian Shepard, the father of Jack! Shepard, which is found between Claire and his/her aunt acknowledges that he is his father. Large surprise and confirmation since yes, Claire is indeed the half-sister of Jack! Claire and Christian then take glass at the cafeteria of the hospital. Claire asks for explanations on the absence of her father during so much of years, thing to which, Shepard explains why it knew about the existence of his daughter whereas it was in the United States and that his/her mother refused that it sees Claire. Whereas Shepard tries to reveal its true name and its identity to him, Claire prefers to leave and leave the places… On the island, Claire follows Desmond who moves towards cliffs. It recovers one of the birds which was isolated. Claire who surprises it, asks him finally for explanations. Desmond then affirms in Claire it tragic written destiny of Charlie like his mysterious gift. Claire then hastens to go to see her friend and entrusts. Flashback: Claire is with the bedside of her dying mother and excuses herself never to have gotten along with to have shouted it and him above during the way in the car which preceded the terrible accident. Lastly, on the island, Charlie aloud reads a text which Claire wrote on a paper that they attach to the leg of the bird found by Desmond. A very pretty text which announces that they are the survivors of flight 815, in life and that they wait of the assistance. We see each character who is occupied with his occupations… In all end of episode, Kate, Sayid, Locke and Rousseau arrive finally at the camping of the “others” and there stupor! They discover Jack playing American football with Tom (the bearded mysterious forgery). Jack seems happy, insane of joy and opened out. Kate and his companions remain médusés of incomprehension!
Opinion: A very good episode which sets out again of more beautiful. The tension goes up crescendo, we learn that Claire is well the half-sister of Jack what reinforces the foreign links of the series and which makes us well say that their presence on the aircraft is really not a chance. And if the father of Jack were behind all that and that this situation was made to bring closer the two brothers and sisters? The arrival with the camp of the “others” is very exciting, the secrecy of Desmond is not too any more a secrecy and the fact of seeing Jack having fun like a nutcase to create a crowd of questions: washing of brain? tactic of Jack? The continuation is announced absolutely brilliant especially that the next week it will act of episode 13,
